SPONSORED SWIM DES SABLES- A MASSIVE THANK YOU
Thank you for everyone who took part in supporting Dean Baker, our Head Coach, who is taking part in the Marathon Des Sable in the Sahara Desert in April 2026, to help raise funds for Race Against Dementia by completing a sponsored swim on 22nd March.
We have raised nearly £700 with Gift Aid still to be included. An amazing achievement by everyone from the volunteers who set it all up, to all the swimmers who took part and everyone who has donated.
It's not too late to add to our total.

Help Lewis Get to the European Transplant Games
Lewis, one of our Masters swimmers, who has swum with us since he was 6 years old, has qualified to compete at the European Transplant Games in June 2026 in Arnhem, Netherlands, having won 3 bronze medals in the World Transplant Games last year.
He needs to raise £1300 to take part.
Every donation however small would be very much appreciated by Lewis.

A short introduction to 1066 Swimmers
We are a small, friendly, not-for-profit, Swim England affiliated swimming club, based in Bexhill-on-Sea since 1991.
Our aim is for our members to enjoy swimming as much as we do.
If you would like to learn to swim as a life skill, swim for fitness, swim for fun, swim socially, or swim to compete at licensed galas, give us a try.
We offer two free taster sessions* to make sure you like us(* we are sorry, but 1 to 1 lessons are not included in this offer).From 4 years old to adults.
Non-swimmers to competitive swimmers.
From Bexhill-on-Sea, St. Leonards-on-Sea, Hastings and the surrounding areas.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME AT THE CLUB
Our qualified, DBS checked teachers and coaches are ready to teach, coach, support and encourage every swimmer.
Our Squad Sessions are from £46 per month for 3 hours swim per week.Monday, Wednesday and Sundays
